Real-time Password Blacklist
Here you can see just how well the Password RBL service is performing in real-time!
The pie chart shows the percentage of queries to the API over the entire lifetime of the service for all (non-honeypot) sources. Additionally the last 30 days are shown.
Our aggregate match rate has decreased since the beginning of our service. This is a GOOD thing. This means that subscribers are getting better at choosing passwords. But even today the aggregate match rate is around 10% so that means if you aren't a subscriber now, one in ten of your users is has a blacklisted password!
The values you see here show the number of submissions to the API that resulted in a positive match to a hashed password value. These numbers are based on each individual submission to the API, even if they are from the same end-user (since the API cannot know the true source of API queries).
For example, if the performance graph shows a 10% rate of performance over the past month, that means that 1 in 10 submissions to the API resulted in a blacklist match.
